TOUCH INTO THE ALIVENESS OF BEING ONE WITH NATURE

We honor this ancestral land of the Huichol (Wixarika) people. We have welcomed our indigenous neighbors in sacred activities, ceremony and in outreach to those living in the surrounding area.

We named our village Litibù after the bird, (Great kiskadee).  The Huichol ancestors of the area honored this little bird as the “Song of Birds”.  Stories by elders in the village tell of the Huichol women coming down to the arroyo to wash their clothes, tell stories and sing together.

Here, the beach of dreams meets birdsong.  You can feel the healing energy with the first deep breaths in and around the Paz Jardin, a place to refresh, empty oneself and be ready for life.

The ancient prophecy of the condor and the eagle represent our hopes and dreams. The Litibù Ecovillage holds the promise of bringing balance back to our lives.
